Introductions: They’re Pretty Popular Here

by cloggieintraining

Hello!  My name is Heather Tucker and I would like to introduce myself as one of the new contributors to Agitate the Gravel.  Let me begin by telling you a little bit about myself…

I was born in the United States, where I lived until I was sixteen. I then had the opportunity to be a Rotary Youth Ambassador taking me to Tallinn, Estonia for one year. During that time I lived with four Estonian families and learned about the country, its language and its culture. I also got to travel quite a bit in Europe. This experience helped identify for me my love of Europe. After returning to the States for about one year, I moved to London, England where I lived for nine and a half years (even obtaining British citizenship). In 2007 I moved to Rotterdam, the Netherlands where I currently live.

When I was in the process of preparing for my move to the Netherlands, I began a blog, Cloggie Central, which is all about life in the Netherlands as a foreigner.  Cloggie Central allowed me to identify another passion – writing – and the almost inevitable step of combining writing and travelling was next to occur.

So, as you can see, travel, writing and photography has been a passion of mine for quite some time and I look forward to sharing my experiences in these areas with you.  When I am not travelling or writing, I enjoy listening to music, reading, cooking, taking photos and starting new projects.  You can also follow me on Twitter: @traineecloggie

Agitate The Gravel is Growing

by Brian Erdelyi

Brian Erdelyi, Bermuda

We recently met Brian Erdelyi at MatadorU (a new media school for travelers) where he’s learning to be a better travel photographer.  One thing lead to another and he’s now here to share some of his work

Brian is a Canadian expat living in Bermuda who’s traveled for work, food, scuba diving and an all around great time.  He may not say much, but as they say “a picture’s worth a thousand words”.
